End of the world perspectives (Mayan apocalypse predictions) for Dec 21, 2012
You’ve probably seen a bunch of “end of the world” predictions all centered around the date of Dec 21, 2012.
As with everything, we get to choose the perspective we prefer. We get to choose what we want to believe – or not. And in so doing, we choose the reality we experience.
And the “Mayan apocalypse” date of Dec 21, 2012 was (is) no different. Now of course, I’m writing “after the event” – but the same principle applies regarding “choice”. Some people might see the recent warnings as “hoopla and hype”. Others may have seen them quite literally – meaning they were actually expecting a “literal end of the physical Earth” – in the form of some kind of cataclysmic event.
2012 was the year my world ended
Others (and I include myself here) saw the prediction as a “metaphor for change”. I know for myself 2012, was “the year that my world ended”.
2012 brought into focus how much I have changed; how differently I see myself and “my world” – today – compared to just 12 months ago. The realization sank in at the end of November, 2012. The reality I was in was so dramatically different that I had to notice I had changed dramatically! Previously my reality had been changing seemingly “bit by bit” – so I didn’t really “get it” that I too was changing. It was the dramatic turn of events that “alerted” me to the fact that “hey, you’ve really changed!. Just take a look at your current reality now…”
An evolutionary shift
This post is a postcard. I just wanted to let you know about a very interesting site I’ve discovered that discusses the whole “end of the world as we have known it” idea. Some people call it an “evolutionary shift” – others call it a “natural progression” along the spiritual path – where we are becoming more and more aware of our “True Nature”.
Suzanne Li – has some very interesting work. Take from the material what is relevant to you now. At the heart of what she is saying is that “this is a time of great personal awakening of Our Spirit. We are the creators of our own reality (realities) – and how we direct our mind (thoughts, emotions, focus) – determines the kinds of realities we find ourselves in.” Which is in perfect alignment with the premise of this blog.
